Ice-skating is a synonym of pleasure and a wonderful alternative to skiing. In Alta Badia, there are two places where you can spend funny hours on ice and perhaps organizing nice games. Among them, there’s the Ice Stadium of Corvara, settled in the village centre, and the Sompunt Lake between Badia and La Villa/Stern. The lake waters freeze in winter to become a natural ice ring.
For those who don’t want to renounce to ice-skating even in summer, they will find some relief from the warm temperature in the Ice Stadium, daily opened form 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. and from 9 p.m. until 11 p.m.
Ice skates can be easily rent here in summer and in winter. At the end of the day, the snack bar invites you to taste a cup of hot chocolate or to warm up with a cup of tea.
